Yesterday, my sister Rosemary (Fenton) Stokes and I visited a Resident at TFRNC. Upon arrival, we found her sitting primly in her chair, with a smile on her face, looking out the window. After a minute of though, she recognized Rosemary, reached out her hand and said: “Rosie, what a nice surprise!” We were both thrilled
She took us to her room where we reviewed all her family pictures and cards and reminisced as best as she was able to do. Throughout our time with her, she kept telling us what a nice place she was staying at and how good everyone is to her. No complaints, joust joy. The same attitude she has had all her life… as an RN, as a mother, as a friend, as an “always ready to help a neighbor”… remains with her today.
I want to congratulate you and the staff for your excellent care of her. We came unannounced and found her “ready for company”. She deserves the best and is getting it!
